We have fenced off each chalets to give them their own garden area which is great benefit having a glass of wine on the garden bench watching the sunset or the porpoise in the Loch Dunvegan.
We are dog friendly free of charge (maximum of 2) we have large fenced off areas that dogs can be let off the leads.
Situated in the north west on the Isle of Skye we are 4 miles from Dunvegan Castle and a 30 minute walk to the beautiful Coral Beach. Exceptional views of Loch Dunvegan, MacLeod's Tables and the Outer Hebrides.
We have amazing opportunities of seeing some beautiful wildlife around us. We have seen sea eagles which can fly right in front of the chalets. There is a breeding pair in this area and have been seen with their youngster.
Otters have been seen below the chalets on the beach swimming in the sea and running around the rocks.
Porpoise are often seen in the summer months swimming down Loch Dunvegan and back out to the The Minch.
We are in a rural/remote location so no light pollution the stars are amazing and the Northern lights have been seen from our location, although the best view point for that is Neist Point
Great base for getting around the island to explore the other sight seeing spots and we are always on hand with directions and advise.
We have over 100 Cheviot sheep and through out the year we are busy with them, lambing time, shearing and dosing. You are more than welcome to help with gathering, watch the dosing and watch the shearing. We also have hens, geese and ducks which you can go collect your eggs or just sit back and watch them, they are quite entertaining. Dotty & Hilda are our Kune Kune pigs that we got in 2021 as piglets. They will be kept until the foreseen future. Crofting can be very challenging and interesting work with the weather on the Isle of Skye!!!
We have 2 very friendly boxer dogs Murphy and Skye. They are full of fun as most boxers are! We are dog friendly and have plenty of closed of areas to let guests with dogs be able to let them of their leads. Each chalet is fenced off for extra peace of mind that guest dogs are safe and that Murphy and Skye can't come and say hello
